Phyllis C. Barone, a.k.a. "The Queen on the Green" was first introduced to the world of golf while employed with USA Networks. The cable channel aired the first and second rounds of several tournaments including the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. USA also televised the Ryder Cup in 1989 at the Belfry. This experience sweetened her palate for the game and inspired her to take golf lessons at the John Jacobs' Golf School.
She then followed her passion and published her own golf magazine. When print went on the wane, and the internet evolved, The Queen decided to investigate broadcast talent opportunities. She aired live on Golf Talk Radio and continues to take on the role as interviewer for various media outlets: Clickondetroit, Michigan Golfer Television and Linksvideo/Golf360 TV. She is also a Golfweek Course Rater. When the Queen has on her golf shoes, she says she is workin' and is eager to play 9, 18, or even 36 holes if and when duty calls. She will also educate you on the best products including golf equipment, apparel and accessories. The Queen is always prepared and will share any goodies or healing aides she has in her bag!
